New Committee Member
Peter Russell

Norman Dewis Evening
Well - it wasn't third time lucky for us ! 2 days before our planned evening we heard a rumour that Norman was in Spain and unable to get back to the UK due to the Icelandic volcano. At that time it was only a rumour but after many phone calls around the country, we finally received confirmation that yet again Norman could not attend. We were extremely fortunate that motoring journalist, photographer & Jaguar expert Paul Skilleter was able to step in together with an ex colleague of Norman's - Ed Abbott - who was for many years a Jaguar test driver & engineer. (Thanks to Debbie Coleman for arranging Ed's attendance). Hopefully all those that attended the evening considered the evening a resounding success.

Change of Committee
After many years on Dorset Region's committee, mostly in the posiiton of Chairman, Peter Everett has decided to stand down. John Brewster has kindly offered his services on the committee and this was ratified at the AGM on Sunday January 25th 2010. Welcome John, and many thanks to Peter.

Norman Dewis Evening
Thursday April 22nd 2010 is the date
that Norman has agreed to come and entertain us with his interesting anecdotes
relating to his many years as Jaguar test driver. Westover Jaguar have agreed to
host the event. Let's hope it's third time lucky!

Enthusiast Of The Year 2009
At the Christmas dinner dance on
Saturday December 19th, Tony Tocock was awarded the Enthusiast Of The Year
trophy. Well done Tony - and judging by the applause from those present, a very
popular choice.

Mike Lane
A busy time for Mike - he is Dorset
Region's new chairman having taken over the chair from Peter at the AGM on
January 25th. Jon Preddy is vice-chairman.
Additionally, main club chairman Sue Hedley has appointed Mike as her
vice-chairman so Mike will become chairman of the main club when Sue's period of
office expires.
